the state of forming a complete and harmonious whole; unity.
the state of being free from illness or injury.
Health is much more than what we eat and how much exercise we do, there are so many different components that encapsulate what “healthy” means, and they all work together to make a difference to our overall well-being.
I believe the quest for optimal health and well-being is looking at the whole person and overall picture – body, mind, spirit & environment.
My journey into natural health started when my son was born – he had chronic gut issues, severe reflux and suffered a great deal of pain in his early years. After years of medical appointments and prescription medications, I was fortunate to meet an amazing naturopath and biomedical pediatrician who not only helped turn his health around, they helped me learn a lot about my own health and lifestyle as well.
I didn’t realize at the time that my own health wasn’t great. I thought it was normal to feel tired and burnt out all the time. This is the 21st century, after all, everyone is busy! We all seem to be time poor; working long hours, tight deadlines, busy family commitments or hectic social lives.
Turns out that it’s not actually “normal” to feel this way. I found that making tweaks to my lifestyle and diet not only improved my own health but benefited the rest of my family as well.
I will share information I’ve learnt along the way, hopefully, giving you the wisdom to make informed choices about natural health and wellness in your own life.
